Mashburn Transportation Services is currently looking for a Fleet Diesel Mechanic at their Bakersfield, CA location
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience
- Must have tool set in alignment with shop requirements and standard work
Job Description: With direct supervision from a Lead Mechanic or the Maintenance Shop Manager; performs preventive maintenance to diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including but not limited to basic tire work, such as replacement, tire rotation, etc., and checks torque specifications and replaces, where necessary, wheel end components, such as bearings. This position requires basic mechanic type knowledge of hydraulics to perform hose replacement on trucks.
- Basic diagnostic software skills
- basic knowledge of vehicle suspension and steering systems to perform routinemaintenance and repair.
- Torque specification on wheel end components and replacing parts, such as bearings,where necessary
- Basic hydraulic work, such as hose replacement
- Basic electrical work, such as light changes on trucks and diagnosing electrical issues
- Basic suspension and steering systems maintenance and repair to ensure the vehicle is in proper working order at all times.
- Maintain Basic knowledge DOT Rules and Regulations as required for the position
- Hours/Pay:
- Full Time &Overtime
- Starting wage is $30.00/HR depending on experience
