King Gnu moved to No. 1 on Billboard JAPAN’s Hot 100 this week, with AIZO taking the top spot after a lift from its physical release. The chart, dated Feb. 18 and covering Feb. 9–15, shows the track pulling ahead as sales climbed while overall interest stayed strong across the ranking’s measurement points.
Kenshi Yonezu stayed right behind at No. 2 with IRIS OUT, keeping steady traction through streaming and video performance. Hey! Say! JUMP made an immediate splash as well, debuting at No. 3 with Hanikami, driven by strong first week single sales.
A big climb came from back number. Doushitemo Doushitemo jumped from No. 32 to No. 7, a rise linked to renewed attention after the Winter Olympics began on Feb. 6 and the song’s role as NHK’s winter sports theme. Elsewhere, Sakanaction reached the top tier as Iranai debuted in the top 10, adding another notable entry to a busy chart week.
