Brett Eldredge has canceled his Christmas concerts this weekend in Chicago after testing positive for Covid-19.
The country singer revealed the bad news to fans and followers in a video post shared on social media on Thursday.
“Today has been a really rough day. I was about to go to the airport to fly … and play my favorite show of the entire year, the Glow show in Chicago,” Eldredge said.
The country star said a diagnostic test he took before boarding a plane to Chicago returned a positive result.
“Unfortunately, it turns out I have COVID, which really sucks. I’ve been so excited about playing this show. It breaks my heart,” he added.
Eldredge was scheduled to play two shows at the Chicago Theatre on Friday and Saturday as part of his Glow Tour. Those concerts have been rescheduled to December 29 and 30.
“I promise you it’s going to be one of the best shows you’ve seen,” Eldredge told his fans. “I’m going to try and heal up.”
